Financial Support
While we do accept food donations, monetary donations are the most helpful. While $1 at the grocery store is able to purchase one can of food, we are able to purchase 20x that amount. To see the impact that you are making through your monetary gift, check out our converter below. Most people do not realize this, but we pay approximately $2,000 each week to host the giveaway. The food is not free to us, nor is the building that we have to rent.
Data are calculated by converting pounds of food into meals per dollar using the finding from USDA’s What We Eat in America 2011-2012 that an average meal is 1.2 lbs. of food.

Volunteer
Every week we count on over 75 volunteers to help us with the giveaway. We ask volunteers to come to the Nordstrom/Johnson Building at 3pm on the day of the giveaway for a short meeting and to attain a job. You do not need to contact us before volunteering. If you have any questions or have a large group hoping to volunteer, please contact us! We do require that all volunteers agree and sign to our code of conduct.
